Governance

Strong corporate governance, driven by community engagement is a core enabler for ensuring CI-ISAC drives member outcomes.

CI-ISAC believes that the key element of its relationship with members revolves around our core value of transparency, which encompasses legal, compliance, and trust aspects.

We are acutely aware of the trust our members place in us as we provide them with critical cyber intelligence and the catalyst for them to be part of our collective cyber defence posture.

CI-ISAC is committed to ensuring that the way we do business is considered best practice by the industry standards and professionals who assess our capabilities impartially and independently. We aim to assure our members that CI-ISAC is committed to the highest quality standards, as well as adhering to the best information-sharing and cyber-security principles.

Much like trust, compliance is at the core of what CI-ISAC does. Our compliance programs extend beyond quality control and independent assessment to include the way we do business generally, how we interact with our members and stakeholders, how we meet community and government expectations, and our policies and practices around making the world a better and more equitable place in which to live and carry out business safely and securely.

Structure

Strategic direction and priorities are guided by the CI-ISAC Management Board, made up of senior representatives from Australia’s Critical Infrastructure sectors. Board members provide thought leadership and guidance to the CI-ISAC executive committee on their respective areas of expertise.

Strategic Execution, Operations and Intelligence are driven by the CI-ISAC Executive Committee made up of senior executives with responsibility for the functional areas that enable CI-ISAC's products and services. The CI-ISAC Executive Committee reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is tasked with delivering the company's strategy.

Governance is supported by a network of CI-ISAC Advisors who bring specialist knowledge and expertise from across Australia's Critical Infrastructure sectors. CI-ISAC's Advisors work in partnership with the Executive Committee and Management Board to further CI-ISAC's strategic mission and objectives.

Operational build, effectiveness and growth are guided by an Industry Advisory Group made up of representatives at the forefront of cyber defences/intelligence operations for their respective Critical Infrastructure entities. The CI-ISAC Industry Advisory Group provides an industry-aligned perspective on operational effectiveness, required membership capabilities and gaps in the CI-ISAC service catalogue.

Public-Private Partnerships are facilitated through the Academic R&D Engagement Group, which contains representatives from across Academia and aims to tap into complex problems being faced by critical infrastructure entities with the aim of solving these.
